Using mobile wallets without a NFC-enabled phone – Barclays PayTag

Barclay-paytag

Till yesterday, if you don’t have a fancy NFC-enabled phone, it is just hopeless for you to use functions like mobile wallet. Recently,Barclays has introduced the PayTag that turns any phone into a contactless card.

From the appearance, it is a square of plastic a quarter the size of a credit card that is sticky on one side. What are the procedures you are going to install it is you just jam it on your phone, probably at the back side so as not to cover your monitor, then you can buy sandwiches, or any purchase up to 30USD without opening your actual, real wallet. Unfortunately, the sticky squares will be rolling out only exclusively to British Barclaycard customers over the next few months.

Although such convenient product is only available to particular persons, and we do not know the wireless transmission behind, mobile wallet is going to be a hot product in the near future. Since we could see the development of Google wallet and Apple’s patent on the electronic payments, we are sure that this is the main trend of payment after credit card. Anyone could think of any accessories that can lay on the trend and make money?
