iMini from Lingo: an app-based accessory for iPhone to access internet radio channels
Let me introduce this app-based accesory to you: Lingo‘s iMini. This is a radio player accessory for Digital Audio Broadcast (DAB) and DAB+ streaming on your iOS devices such as your iPhone and iPad.
It’s more than a dongle, because of its DAB GO! app that integrates with the accessory itself, plus the turbo scanning provided by Tsunami Engine for ultra fast scanning of channels. It also has a Slide Show function to show live digital radio broadcast. However, it still requires an earphone plugged in to work as an antenna.
It is proud to be the world’s smallest, buttonless DAB dongle for the iDevices. The app features several related functions such as MP3 playback, Twitter and Facebook for sharing and also a clock and weather forecast.
It is now on the shelves with the price tag of $90 (EUR 69).
Comments:
The company spend several years minimizing the accessory and also designing iMini to work with all lines of Apple products to give the users a bonus value when buying their products. However, there are actually a lot of other apps that does the same minus the dongle, but at the cost of internet usage. So unless you have an unlimited 3G/LTE plan, you probably will choose to buy this product instead.
BOM cost coming soon.
